Mr Norris was charged with eight offences, including drug traffickin­g, and has been behind bars since.

In documents tendered to court, Mr Norris claimed the drugs were for “self-medication” and not for selling. He promised to attend a year-long drug residentia­l rehabilita­tion course to get bail and clean himself up.

Justice Martin Burns said Mr Norris was a significan­t risk of committing more crimes and may attempt to flee justice due to the serious nature of these offences.
