PREMIER TACKLES UNRULY HART
PREMIER Annastacia Palaszczuk gave Burleigh MP Michael Hart a political stiff arm after he interjected during her speech about the Queensland women’s rugby league team.
Announcing that female players would get equality at last, being called the Maroons, the Premier said she was their No. 1 ticket holder.
“I am quite sure the deputy (Jackie Trad) will be No. 2,’’ she told Parliament.
“And I am quite sure that the Minister for Tourism (Kate Jones) will be No. 3.”
Mr Hart suggested Ms Jones was busy being a future mayoral contender.
“Well, Member for Burleigh, we know it is never going to be you,” the Premier replied.
