Robbery is a real gem

THIEVES who tunnelled into a London jeweller’s shop in a raid worth close to $1 million ensured they left behind few clues by painting security cameras and cleaning up after themselves.

The group grabbed diamond rings, necklaces and pendants from George Attenborough & Son as thousands of runners taking part in Sunday’s London Landmark Half Marathon jogged past.

The gang is believed to have spent much of the weekend drilling into the historic premises, after breaking into a betting shop next door.
