BUSINESS SNAPS UP VARSITY SITE

A GOLD Coast business has snapped up a State Government block of land close to the M1 Motorway for $979,000.

The 3437sq m block at lot 1 Stapley Drive, Varsity Lakes, sold post-auction to the business, which plans to build commercial premises on the site.

Colliers International’s James Crawford, who marketed the site, said the sale worked out to $331sq m based on a usable land area of 2688sq m.

He said the block, which was broken off from a larger 8000sq m parcel, included an easement for the use of Queensland Rail.
