FISHING

-

OFFSHORE: It has really quietened down offshore due to the rain over the last few days. Try for Spanish mackerel on the Diamond Reef, east of the Seaway.

BROADWATER: Northern areas have been producing good mud crabs. Plenty of snapper, jewfish, bream and mangrove jack around the Seaway.

BEACHES: Southern beaches from Burleigh to Tweed have had whiting and dart hanging around the gutters in the surf. Long fin tuna has also been showing up in the surf break.

RIVERS: Good whiting and flathead in the Tweed, catching best close to the golf club. Whiting and mangrove jack in Nerang River.
