TODAY: Scope for larger, mid-period South swell up to 3 to 5ft across northern NSW south facing breaks. Speculativ­ely mixing with rising SSE windswell at 2 to 3ft+ along exposed Qld beaches and down to 1 to 2ft along the points and inside the bays. WIND: WSW to SSW 10 to 15 knots inshore early, tending SSE to SE 15 to 25 knots in the afternoon.

TOMORROW: Potential for building, short-range ESE tradewind swell superseded by easing S swell. Speculativ­ely 2ft+ along exposed open beaches, building to 2 to 3ft+ in the afternoon. Otherwise wrapping at lower levels along the points and inside the bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early light SW to SSW, tending SSE to SE 15 to 25 knots in the morning. WEDNESDAY: Potential for larger ESE/SE windswell mixing with underlying S groundswel­l. Up to 3 to 4ft+ along the most exposed stretches, grading to 2 to 3ft+ inside the points and bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early lighter SSW inshore, otherwise SE 15 to 20 knots.
