Mia serves up a victory
MIA Duvnjak has claimed under-13 bragging rights from the latest round of the Tennis Queensland Junior Development Series.
Competing in the third round of the Gold Coast circuit, Duvnjak held off Hayley Young for the crown on Sunday’s opening day of the twoweek round at Gold Coast and Albert Junior Tennis Club.
Mary Palmer defeated Amy Ivanovski in the under-11 decider, with Adison Murray beating Zara Asgill in the under-10s.
In the doubles Palmer partnered Ivanovski to defeat Murray and Aoba Ito.
The action resumes on Sunday. Further rounds in the series will be held at Queens Park (May 19, 26), Miami (June 9, 16), Runaway Bay (September 8, 15) and Surfers Paradise (October 11).
