Roos putting league rivals on notice

-

ROBINA sounded an ominous warning to QFA Division 2 contenders with a 69-point thumping of Coomera.

The home side was sharp from the first bounce on a wet and slippery Scottsdale Drive on Saturday and looked a class above the inexperienced Magpies, winning 132-63.

The Roos backline dominated all day, led by the vocal Jordan Miller.

At the other end, tall timber Joel Stevenson was posting eight majors.

Stevenson, who nabbed three goals last week, was unstoppable in front of the posts and was helped by Mitch Hastings, Mark Vigus and Abdullah Haddad, who each chipped in with two goals.

Colts captain Ethan Holahan, vice-captain Zac Coote and teammate Jai Regan saluted their selection in the seniors team by nabbing a goal each. superb,

The experience will have the talented teens brimming with confidence when they lead Robina’s inaugural Colts side on to Eximm Oval to play Coolangatta for Round 1 of the QFA Colts White season on Saturday.

Elevated Colts players also shone in the reserves match, with forward Charlie Coad and ruck James Diggs among Robina’s best when the twos went down to Coomera 84-49.
