ANDREWS STILL A TRUE IRON STAR

GUY Andrews has still got it. The former ironman champion yesterday won his second masters 45-49 ironman title in as many years after taking a 15-year break from the sport after he retired. After some mixed results in the morning, including eighth in the surf race and fifth in the board race, the 48-year-old admitted he thought his form slump would continue. “I wasn’t feeling as good as I’d hoped in the morning,” he said. “I coach full-time now for Tallebudgera so I had a 13-hour day yesterday at the youth Aussies so I felt pretty tired.”
