TC Veronica cut Port Hedland output: BHP

-

BHP says it is reviewing the cost of tropical cyclone Veronica to its iron ore operations at Port Hedland in Western Australia.

The company said it expected output to be reduced by about six million to eight million tonnes after trains were disrupted by flooding at the site and sections of the leading into the port.

“The port is currently operating at reduced rates and not expected to return to full capacity until later this month,” BHP said yesterday, adding that it would soon update its 2019 financial year production and unit cost guidance. rail
