FISHING

OFFSHORE: Snapper, trag jew and jewfish have been the biggest catch around the Coast. Try for black marlin on 50 fathoms, east of the Seaway.

BEACHES: Sea bream have started to show up. Try in the deep gutters as well for dart and whiting.

BROADWATER: Big squire and snapper have been showing up in the Seaway. Jewfish also taken in the Seaway on live baits. Whiting around the Council Chambers.

RIVERS: The Tweed has been producing lots of bream. Good mangrove jack also in the Tweed, Nerang and Coomera Rivers. Whiting around the sand banks in the Currumbin and Tallebudge­ra creeks.

FRESHWATER: Coomera Weir, Clear Island Waters and Hinze Dam for bass.
