Court adjourns 31-year-old’s child sex trial

THE trial of a 31-year-old man accused of inappropriately touching his six-year-old cousin was adjourned yesterday until today.

The man is accused of getting into the girl’s bed, shining a light in her eyes, pulling down her pants and touching her inappropriately.

He has pleaded not guilty

the Southport District in Court to three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 12.

The man has admitted getting into bed with the girl but denied touching her.
