Double trouble in Robina’s journey
AFTER an extraordinary debut last year, Robina’s female footballers have returned with a fearsome army twice the size.
The Roos team who finished runners-up in QFAW Division 2 South have been promoted to QFAW Division 1 and a replacement Division 2 team has been created, a development which has the club excited ahead of Round 1 tomorrow.
“Since I took over pre-season in January, the general vibe in the group has been amazing,” Division 1 coach Chris Dickson said. “With the introduction of our second side this year, we have had a huge influx of new faces with varying sporting backgrounds and varied knowledge of the game.”
Division 1 women will play Moreton Bay at 4.45pm at Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex and the Division 2 women will meet Mt Gravatt at Dittmer Park at 4.45pm.
In Robina’s other games, the inaugural Colts will play Coolangatta at Eximm Oval at 10am in Round 1 of QFA Colts White, and the men are away to Kenmore in Round 3 of QFA Division 2. The reserves will play at noon and the seniors at 2pm at Western Districts Oval.
