Eckstein’s no match
NOT even an inspired board leg from Northcliffe star Caine Eckstein could stop the team from Currumbin as they went on to take out the open male board relay at the Aussies.
After Hayden White’s opening leg, Jackson Maynard was tasked with holding off a flying Eckstein to stay in the lead.
“Caine Eckstein was absolutely flying and got right on my tail so I just hung on for dear life,” he said.
The third and final leg was left to Corey Fletcher as Currumbin turned for home.
