FISHING

- Report by Mark Berg’s Addict Tackle and Doug Burt’s Tackle World.

OFFSHORE: Black marlin are biting on the 50 fathoms, east of the Seaway. Snapper, trag jew and jewfish have been biting well offshore all around the Coast.

BEACHES: The deep gutters around the Coast have been producing good sea bream, dart and whiting.

SEAWAY: Plenty of big squire and snapper around. Use live baits when trying for jewfish.

RIVERS: The sand banks in Currumbin and Tallebudgera creeks have been good for whiting. Lots of bream hanging around in the Tweed River.

FRESHWATER: Good bass around the Coomera Weir, Clear Island Waters and Hinze Dam.
