WHERE ARE GC BLOKES
FINDING love on the Gold Coast is a tall order for Bachelor in Paradise’s Brittney Weldon.
“There’s absolutely no one on the Gold Coast … that I’ve found, anyway,” she said.
“I’ve tried everything, definitely online dating, but you don’t realise how short they are until you meet them in real life.”
The 180cm beauty, an intruder on Nick “The Honey Badger” Cummins’ season of The Bachelor last year, will get her second shot at made-for-reality romance when season two of Bachelor in Paradise premieres tonight.
Keen to couple up because “Winter is coming up and who wouldn’t want a boyfriend?”, Weldon may get her wish when she arrives in Fiji. “I’d like to see Cam the firefighter maybe, even Paddy (Ali’s season) is looking fit,” she said.
“I look for somebody who is funny, happy and genuine but I’ve got no real list.
“I’m missing that best friend vibe.”
While viewers are still reeling from Married At First Sight’s cheating scandals, the Bachelor in Paradise format usually accommodates plenty of partner swapping.
“If somebody comes along and they’re better suited … if you haven’t had that conversation (about being exclusive) than it’s free rein,” Weldon said.
The feisty 26-year-old is probably best remembered for her “salty b---hes” swipe at mean girls Cat Henesey, Alisha Aitken-Radburn and Romy Poulier.
Both Alisha and Cat have been confirmed in the cast.
