Korean Air chief dies
KOREAN Air’s chairman, whose leadership was plagued by scandals such as his daughter’s infamous “nut rage” incident, has died in the US from an unspecified illness.
Cho Yang-ho, 70, had been indicted on multiple charges, including embezzlement and tax evasion. His eldest daughter, Cho Hyun-ah, who had been the head of the airline’s cabin service, gained notoriety in 2014 when she ordered a plane to return to New York because she was angry that she was served macadamia nuts in a bag rather than on a plate.
