OUR piece about the gorgeous Sigrid Thornton at the GCFF last week brought back some happy memories for surfing identity and radio man John Nielsen. “I used to see her every morning at the Corinda railway station when I was at school. She attended St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School and I was on my way to Brisbane Boys’ College wearing my school uniform with boater. She was stunningly beautiful and I used to blush every time I walked past but could never work up the courage to tell her what I thought. Even now I think I would get tongue-tied if I had to speak to her.” Ahhh, sweet unrequited love.
