Fashion parades don’t have to be just glitz, glamour and the latest trends. The Catwalk to a Cure event had that and more – a real sense of purpose
FOR an inaugural event, Catwalk to a Cure certainly hit the ground running. A sell-out crowd packed into Marina Mirage to fundraise for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and witness a fashion parade with a difference. The models, who volunteered their services, were either survivors of breast cancer or had a close relative affected by the disease. More than $15,000 was raised on the day with the guests sending rave feedback to Robyn Cameron and her team. Big thanks to the Makris Group for their help in getting the show up and running.
