The Coast denim company
A TAMBORINE Mountain company that saw sales soar when Meghan Markle wore their denim jeans has received a prestigious award for ethical fashion.
Outland Denim has been graded an A+ in all five criteria of the prestigious 2019 Ethical Fashion Report, published by Baptist World Aid – an international aid and development organisation operating in 25 countries.
Last year, Outland made international headlines when the Duchess of Sussex wore a pair of its black denim jeans during the royal tour Down Under. Traffic on the company’s website exploded by 3000 per cent and the company has since been making inroads into the Australian and UK markets.
Outland Denim’s jeans are manufactured in Cambodia by women who have escaped trafficking, exploitation, are extremely poor or have a disability.
