Child safe after alert

THE young girl at the centre of an Amber Alert issued in NSW was handed over to police in Southport late on Wednesday.

NSW Police issued the Amber Alert on Wednesday afternoon after the girl and her father went missing in Grafton.

It is understood the girl’s parents are in the process of separating and had a misunderstanding. The girl is safe and has been returned to her mother. ABF Legal were contacted by the girl’s father and helped arrange the handover.
