Daniel faces one Leck of a challenge
ATTACKER-turned-defender Daniel Leck faces another stern test of his defensive credentials as part of a Brisbane Roar side hoping to snap a four-game losing streak tonight against Wellington Phoenix at Suncorp Stadium.
Better known for exploits up front for the Roar’s youth team, Leck has been thrust into a right-back role in recent weeks for Brisbane’s depleted A-League side.
It’s been a huge learning experience for 20-year-old Leck, with the struggling Roar’s opponents in that time including heavyweights Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC, as well as cashed-up Melbourne City.
And the crash course will continue tonight, with the finals-bound Phoenix side containing the competition’s equal leading scorer Roy Krishna (15 goals), in-form exBrisbane prodigy David Williams (11 goals) and talented young gun Sarpreet Singh.
