SERVING UP A STAR

IT is one year on from the launch of premium new rooftop bar and restaurant Nineteen at the Star and the VIP list is impressive.

Usain Bolt, Margot Robbie, Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon, anyone who is anyone in the fishbowl of Australian television, swimming legend Dawn Fraser, singer Dani Im, cult rugby figure Nick ‘the Honey Badger’ Cummins, Australian swim team the Dolphins, Australian basketball team the Boomers...the list goes on.

And that's just the celebrities. The local crowd have embraced the venue just as enthusiastically and it is no doubt Nineteen has boosted the Gold Coast appeal for event organisers and is partly why big events such as the Logies TV awards night and Eurovision Australian are now seemingly domiciled here.

It provided something with a bit of extra class and wow factor the city hospitality scene was crying out for and was delivered just at the right time – weeks prior to the Commonwealth Games.

The venue and its execution so far is a credit to Star Gold Coast and their partners in Nineteen, Billy and Jackie Cross with restaurateur Simon Gloftis.
