IF those &$%#*@ who invaded the abattoir at Warwick tried that at the Moree abattoir in the 70s, the workers would have taken real good care of them!

Superannuation franking credits ... yes it will hurt the retirees but has the Labor Party thought of who it will hurt the most and that is all retail shops, travel agents, hair dressers and most of all the gifts and the envelope with a few dollars may all of a sudden get smaller or disappear for the children and grandchildren. So yes everyone will be affected. Geoff

We’ve been conditioned to think that only politicians can solve our problems. But at some point, maybe we will wake up and recognise that it was politicians who created our problems. Lee

People getting upset when getting a parking fine, calling it “revenue raising” call it what you like, did the crime, pay the fine. Rosi Shenko

Ah kids! Why do you persist in taking the most horrendous risks & suffer the continual dire consequences involved in illegal drug trading?

Have all external horizontal surfaces on the EV solar-panelled with wind turbine behind front grill for 24/7 all-weather charging while driving. Charging solved. However my diesel powered camper van only cost me 1/5 of a small EV. Lookout.

Please Sally Spain, go cultivate tofu flavoured lentils and not untrue rubbish. PC non follower.

Urgently need people who think we should vote Angela Banovic “Bludger of the Year”. Maybe Centrelink will contribute some extra into her go fund me account. Put me down for nil, zero, zilch. DJB. If these vegan protesters want to protest a real issue, protest the issue of live export where animals are tortured and slaughtered inhumanely overseas where there are far lower standards than here.

Mr Bailey wants us to use more public transport. The cost of public transport is outrageous. My daughter had to go to a meeting in Brisbane $90 return & $5 for go card affordable, not likely. We’ve travelled all over the world, Australia would have to be the most expensive place in the world! Sue, Currumbin

I would love to see an electric car tow a seven metre boat or 30-plus foot caravan around. Jamie

Lantana and camphor are at plague proportions south of the border so why aren’t the

greenies working with landcare groups to pull out weeds and reforest the Caldera region, Tweed and Byron areas? When standing at Best of All Lookout, and gazing south towards Mordor, you can see the change in vegetation at the border. G

The statistics of motorists under the influence of marijuana, they drive slower, keep greater following distances, take fewer risks, and never any road rage, maybe our motorists should all have a toke before hitting our roads.

To no name re Australia Post office opening hours. Turn back the clock to the 80s when all shops were open 9 to 5 and closed at midday on Saturdays. People managed their time around these hours. I did. Wasn’t that hard. John Z

You have more chance of finding a compatible wife on MAFS than the millions of people around the world who try to find one in clubs pubs and discos. Tim

It’s a simple decision, do you want the rich to get richer, the poor to get poorer, because that’s what you will get with the Liberal government? That’s the way they want it, that’s the Liberal way. JJW.

We on the Gold Coast should be glad we only have three pests to annoy our daily lives, mosquitoes, hoons and Cr Peter Young. Biggera

How would Australia cope without fuel, cigarette & alcohol excise tax Billy? Johnbrew

Cows are lovely, gentle creatures, how dare these ‘vegans’ terrorise them so they are traumatised and injured! Fan F

How good is the traffic to navigate. Thank you school holidays … GT

Just about all traditionally male dominated sports have attracted female athletes over time, eg rugby, cricket etc. We are anxiously awaiting “mixed” teams: imagine a couple of male and female rugby forwards side-by-side! Now we’re waiting for men’s’ netball teams; picture a team of tall skinny men in short skirts aiming for the netball hoop! Johann S

There has been a damaged guard rail on the corner of TE Peters and Miami Key, Broadbeach for around five months now that has had a sign up to warn people so really how long should it take to fix it. Seems like a joke to me. Jamie

You stayed with MAFS till the bitter end? Didn’t the adds give you a big enough clue? Mags

Vegan activists invading farms present a significant biosecurity threat. They should be culled like any other feral pest species. Humanely, of course.
