Teens hurt in car crash

TWO teenagers have been seriously injured after a young driver lost control of a vehicle and crashed into a fence in Broadbeach Waters on Friday night.

Critical care paramedics were called to Monaco St just after 10pm.

They found a teenage girl trapped inside the car and had had injuries to her pelvis and one arm.

A 16-year-old boy was also reported to have been significan­tly injured in the crash.

Police say a 17-year-old was driving the car with three passengers – a 16-year-old female, a 15-year-old female and a 16year-old male.

The Bulletin was told by police it was believed the driver had lost control.

The girl trapped in the vehicle was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The boy was also taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with neck pain. He was reportedly in a stable condition. Police investigat­ions are continuing.
