FUTURE IS IN GOOD HANDS
THE Gold Coast future is assured if some of the youth featuring in the Gold Coast Bulletin pages today are any indicator.
Congratulations to both 14-year-old entrepreneur Taylah Wright who has founded a burgeoning online healthy snacks ordering company and 12-year-old Aikan Granier-Ameur.
The latter has just made the AustralianTaekwondo team.
They are shining examples of young people in this city doing incredible things and with bright futures no doubt ahead.
It is heartening to see and the Bulletin can not get enough of seeing this city’s young people doing well whether it be in business, sport, the arts, academia or other pursuits.
The strength of a city and its future surely lies with the next generations coming through.
It is also intrinsically linked to the prosperity of the Gold Coast going forward as one of the key challenges for a long time has been diversifying the economy and developing the breadth of this city to ensure its talented youth feel they personally have a future here.
Or if they head off in search or fame, fortune and the kind of experience you can only get from spreading your wings, to use a cliche, that they feel in time it is a place at the top of the list of ones they want to return to to live.
The city must continue to evolve across the board to ensure it attracts and retains some of the best and brightest.
