FIVE THINGS WE LEARNT FROM SUNS V BLUES

-

Forwards: The time has come to bring Sam Day back into the forward line. Peter Wright and Chris Burgess have struggled in recent weeks to make a sufficient impact. Day kicked five goals in the reserves last week.

Finding a way: All four of Gold Coast’s games have been decided by less than a kick but they have found a way to be on the right side of the ledger in three of them.

Time in the NEAFL: Jack Lukosius will be a gun player and you can’t knock his work ethic, but the young draftee needs time to develop.

Concussion awareness: The sling tackle on Suns wingman Wil Powell was hard to watch but his second fall to the turf was sickening.

Collins the giant: Sam Collins has been one of the Suns best this season and one of the best recruits in the AFL.
