Nightclub shooter on run as another victim is critical

-

A MAN remains in a critical condition, following a drive-by shooting outside a Melbourne nightclub that left another man dead.

A police hunt was under way yesterday for the killer after shots were fired from a passing SUV, hitting three security guards and a patron outside the popular Prahran nightclub Love Machine at 3.20am on Sunday.

Security guard Aaron Khalid Osmani, 37, (pictured) was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after the shooting but later died.

A 28-year-old man was still in a critical condition in hospital yesterday morning.

A 50-year-old man and a 29-year-old man both have non-life threatening injuries. It’s believed one of the men has facial injuries.

Mr Osmani, of Narre Warren South, was described as a “kind, funny and easygoing guy” and an online fundraiser was launched to help pay for his funeral costs.

Police confirmed on Sunday night that others were also injured in the shooting, including a 20-year-old woman who fell at the scene and hit her head on the ground.

A 26-year-old man went to hospital on Sunday with injuries stemming from the shooting, but they were not life threatening. Police are yet to make any arrests.
