Lucky end to dog’s paddle

-

A SEAFARING pup has been rescued 220km off the coast of Thailand by oil rig workers who spotted the exhausted mutt floundering in the ocean near a drilling platform.

The brown aspin – who the workers have named Boondock – swam towards the men when they called to him and was pulled to safety.

It is not clear how the dog became stranded so far out to sea but it is thought he may have fallen off a fishing trawler.

Boondock is being nursed back to health on the oil rig while they decide what do with him.
