Hopefully the Hunchback got out before the fire at Notre Dame. Doug

Alan, the purpose of the lights at Yawalpah Rd roundabout was to stop traffic banking up on the M1 at the on & off ramps. Seems to have done the job. I have definitely noticed a massive improvement.

The public, including myself, are sick of hearing and reading about druggies and their violence bashing ambos and nursing staff and a drain on the public purse. They should all be parachuted on to a deserted Sth Pacific Island and left to fend for themselves. KenW

Hundreds of very sick decent people including the frail oldies in pain being left on stretchers in hospital corridors, while young druggies take up emergency ward beds. These hideous young druggies should be the ones left out in the corridors and treated last. Us ID staff are fed up having to treat young druggies ahead of the oldies, we show druggies dedicated care and they show us violence. No wonder nurses are leaving in big numbers in this violent state of Qld thanks to a weak Labor Gov. Jan local nurse

How do you turn a psychotic bipolar who refuses to take their medicine into a narcissist? Just give them a 5 or 6 figure pension per year for life.

I have said this before on this page re ice and alcohol. What we need is a facility that they can be taken to where they can come down in padded rooms with paramedics on hand, big male paras with one police officer and big male nurses. NOT taken to public hospitals. Glyn

The Coalition Government says it is a better economic manager because it can deliver budget surpluses. Joe Hockey said in 2013 “Weve a promise of a surplus next year”. Performance is a better guide than promises when judging economic competence. JW

Shell Tugun fuel price $1.59 for 91! Just up the road is PUMA – at $1.39 for 91! Get stuffed Shell. Angry driver

Negative gearing a fair system? Tell that to bulk of taxpayers who pay over 300 in extra taxes each year to cover it’s cost. You should be thanking those bludgers for helping you pay your house off, while probably renting a negative geared house. You get their money in rent as well as their tax contributions.

Police train blitz operation – How often this happens Annastacia, once a year?

If Julian Assange managed to

break into a classified Pentagon computer then how easy is it for someone from any other country to do the same. Barney

Have been buying bottled water when half price at supermarket. Have noticed the price gone up $2.40 per 24 bottles ? If you recycle you get back $2.40. I’m going back to tap water another cash grab by the supermarkets. I was born in the 1950s, taught manners, honesty and integrity. A hard day’s work for a decent day’s pay. Be thrifty and save for the future, live a good life in retirement. Now what a waste of 50 years of my life. Instead I could have been sitting on my ass ripping off the community and all it takes is a vote for Labor. WAKE UP.

To no name if I was getting 80K I wouldn’t be complaining about the Tax Credits as that’s what makes up my income to about 40K per year. KB

All the things in the news lately about bashings and robberies at train and tram stations and shopping centres and violence in our hospitals is horrendous. Everyone is saying put more police on these sites to combat these incidents. We just don’t have enough police. They are struggling to do their day-to-day duties as it is. What we really need is more jails and people being held accountable for their actions. Our police put their lives on the line to arrest these criminals and the judges basically let them go with a slap on the wrist. Mainly because our jails are bursting at the seams and there’s no more room in there. Colleen, Oxenford

Sack Peter Dutton you idiots and we get to keep all the NZ bikies that he is deporting. Jb

David Hall, Another disillusioned Labor supporter who wants to swamp Australia with refugees and boat people. Zodiac

J. Pop. Well said and they’d be the view of many more too. And, how about the folks who get around in little groups, ringing doorbells and trying to convert us to their religion and then there are those who preach on a few TV channels on a Sunday morning as well! If you don’t want to hear it, harden up and walk away. So easy. Jen

To the elderly gentleman whose false teeth I stole at Charis Seafoods last year. Heard you lost another set. Well I’m on my way back from NQld, these teeth have only caused trouble for me, young chicks just love my smile and won’t leave me alone. Bet u dont have that problem. Anyway will drop them off at Charis’s in about 3 days. Thanks for nothing. Mr C Gull.

Bourkey (16/4) right with you. Turnbull gone but not bloody far enough. He is still making us ill with his incoherent garbage. DJB.
