Jackson set for action
APPRENTICE Jackson Murphy will return to race riding at Ipswich today after a frustrating three months on the sidelines.
Murphy has not ridden since a fall at Doomben on December 29 when he injured a wrist.
The injury was originally thought to be relatively minor but has taken longer than expected to mend.
Murphy was leading the Queensland metropolitan apprentice jockeys premiership and was in the top 10 overall Brisbane riders before the injury.
Since he has been out of action Murphy has been overtaken by Jag GuthmannChester, Clayton Gallagher and Baylee Nothdurft in the junior ranks.
