Injured Taylor is on the road to recovery

TITANS’ halfback Ash Taylor is expected to play against Newcastle this weekend despite succumbing to a minor ACL strain last Friday night.

Gold Coast’s injury woes continued this week with young gun AJ Brimson sidelined for up to three weeks with a broken thumb.

Prop Jarrod Wallace will also be missing from Easter Sunday’s clash with the Knights following his twoweek suspension for a shoulder charge.

The Titans are hoping to put together back-to-back wins this weekend after breaking their four-game losing streak against Penrith on Friday night.

They come up against 12thplaced Newcastle who are also one win from five games this season.

Taylor said they had to avoid becoming complacent with their win last weekend.

“A win on the weekend has changed the entire club’s morale,” he said.

“We just need to keep it going now.

“Just because we had one win doesn’t mean we won’t turn up this weekend. “(Newcastle) are going to be a tough team to come up against.”
