When Edward Jenner introduced vaccinations in the 1800s, the global population was much lower than today, and people in huge numbers were being wiped out with diseases like polio”p. If we add up the number of ancestors who came together to reproduce since the 1800s, it makes the chances of our own existence without vaccinations highly improbable.
