A SINGAPOREAN tycoon in a $43 million legal battle with Star Gold Coast is an online gambling giant and horseracing aficionado. A company linked to Dr Wong Yew Choy, SBOBET, became the first approved in the Isle of Man to be licensed for live online gambling and first Asian betting house to get shirt naming rights on a football team, West Ham United. Wong and sister Genni also own Zac Stable in Singapore. It counts Zac Spirit as one of its biggest stars. It was purchased at the Gold Coast’s 2010 Magic Millions Weanling Sale. Star is suing to recover the $43m he lost playing baccarat on the Gold Coast. He plans to fight it.
