Knights on hot streak

THE Gold Coast Knights can extend their three game National Premier League winning streak when they line up against the Brisbane Strikers tonight.

Sitting in third place on the standings, the Knights have the chance to add an eighth win to their season tally against a Strikers side with only three victories to their name.

Eleven rounds into the season, the Knights are fourth in the goalscoring tally and will again look to the dangerous striker duo of Sam Smith and Nic Panetta, who have combined for 11 of the team’s 26 goals this year.

After a successful FFA cup outing that saw them down the Sunshine Coast Fire by three goals, the Knights have drawn the Sunshine Coast Wanderers in Round Five, with the date and time of the clash to be determined.

Kick-off is tonight, 6pm, at Perry Park in Brisbane.
