RIVERS: Mud crabs have been moving around after the rain. Whiting, mangrove jack and flathead in the Tweed River.

BEACHES: Good tailor around, especially at Main Beach and Burleigh. Try the surf gutters for whiting and dart.

OFFSHORE: Parrotfish and snapper around the 36 fathom lines from Southport to Tweed. Mackerel have slowed down, but still worth for a try out at Mermaid and Palm Beach reefs.

BROADWATER: Sand crabs moving around from Jumpinpin to Southport. Plenty of mangrove jack hanging around Sovereign Island. Flathead at Pandanus Island, and whiting on the Green and Gold banks. Report by Mark Berg’s Addict Tackle and Southport Fishing and Dive Centre.
