ScoMo labels attackers of his faith as ‘grubs’

- EMILY BAKER

NOTHING more than gutless grubs.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison yesterday lashed out at “keyboard warriors in their mother’s basement” who poked fun of photos of him singing at his church on Easter Sunday.

The Prime Minister disgusting, (pictured) allowed a rare glimpse into his Sutherland Shire church on Sunday where he was photographed ansd filmed singing and clapping to songs of worship.

He had attended a service at the Pentecostal Horizon Church with wife Jenny and young daughters Lily and Abbey.

Mr Morrison had allowed TV cameras and photographers to accompany him into church in a move that took some government MPs, and media commentators, by surprise.

It was also a move that caused social media to light up with criticism of Mr Morrison for his Pentecostal beliefs and his expression of faith.

Even the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union – which removed a post featuring a picture of Mr Morrison with the words “Beware of false prophets (or should that be profits?)” – weighed in.

A clearly disgusted Mr Morrison, speaking about an anti-Adani protester who likened Queensland coal miners to Nazis – condemned people who attacked others based on faith.

“I find those comments abhorrent,” he said. “Just like I find the swastikas that have been put on Josh Frydenberg’s corflutes and on Julian Leeser’s corflutes and some of the mockery that has been made of my faith by the union movement over in Western Australia to be abhorrent.”
