Coast trio earn a start
ROSIE Malone will join Madison and Savannah Fitzpatrick in the Hockeyroos’ 21-player squad for the Pacific leg of the FIH Pro League.
The Tweed and Gold Coast trio are in the running to play New Zealand, Argentina and USA in the coming fortnight.
The world No.3 Hockeyroos, who sit fourth on the FIH Pro League standings, have selected a 21-member team for the Pacific leg.
With Mariah Williams, Renee Taylor, Karri McMahon and Stephanie Kershaw injured, Victorian Amy Lawton, 17, won a spot alongside recalled Tamworth defender Kate Jenner, 28.
“Selection was pretty tough. We’re going to expose some new players,” Hockeyroos coach Paul Gaudoin said.
Murwillumbah’s Dylan Wotherspoon won a spot in the 18-man Kookaburras side.
