Trump aide faces query

FORMER White House counsel Don McGahn has been subpoenaed for testimony after a report that said Mr McGahn refused US President Donald Trump’s request to curb or cut off the Russia investigation.

House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerrold Nadler issued the subpoena to compel Mr McGahn to testify.

According to special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, Mr McGahn was among the Trump aides who effectively halted the President’s alleged efforts to influence the investigation.
