INSPIRING HORIZON

WHAT started as a small Gold Coast-based community housing provider has now resulted in Horizon Housing taking out the top honours at the Australian Housing Institute’s awards.

Senior executive Jamie Muchall won the Outstanding Achievement Award for his contributions to Queensland’s affordable housing industry. For more than a decade Jamie has lobbied for policy change, to attract funding for the most vulnerable members of society to give them a housing future. “I am exceptionally proud to be recognised by the industry for doing work that I am truly passionate about,” he said. “We are committed to advocating and delivering outcomes for our tenants in both urban and regional and remote settings.

“We will continue to build our strategies and work with partners to provide support services, educational and vocational opportunities, health services and wellbeing activities that support and enhance quality of life for Horizon Housing tenants.”
