Stars align in the ring

HE helped Jeff Horn to one of the greatest wins in Australian sport and now Queensland’s world No.3 Liam Paro is gearing up to fight his own world title bout.

Paro is set to face America’s world junior-welterweight (63.5kg) champ Maurice Hooker next year if he gets past Turkish Olympian Fatih Keles on one of the biggest fight cards put together in the Sunshine State.

The Coorparoo whirlwind will face undefeated Germanbased Keles at The Star Gold Coast on June 8.

On the same show, Australian heavyweight champ Demsey McKean tackles former champ and rugby league player Solomon Haumono.
