Quad blow for Ah Chee

CALLUM Ah Chee’s AFL absence is set to continue with the medium-sized Sun set to miss multiple weeks with a quad injury.

Ah Chee sustained the injury in Gold Coast’s NEAFL loss to GWS in Sydney on Saturday in what is a cruel blow to his and the club’s fortunes.

The 21-year-old missed the opening stages of the AFL season after going on personal leave but could have come into contention for a call-up to the senior side after gaining match fitness in what would have been two games for the Suns’ NEAFL team.

Ah Chee has shown he can be used at both forward and down back. The senior side were thumped by Adelaide by 73 points on Sunday.
