TV show heartthrob stays quiet about club clash

-

NEIGHBOURS TV show heartthrob Scott McGregor is staying quiet after being allegedly glassed by a dancer at a Gold Coast strip club.

“It is going to court so I can’t really comment,” McGregor said when contacted yesterday.

A female stripper has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm after allegedly attacking the actor at the Hollywood Showgirls club in Surfers Paradise earlier this month.

Police say McGregor, who married actor and model Bianka Voight in January, was at the popular Orchid Ave club in the early hours of April 6 when he got into a “verbal altercation” with the 25-year-old dancer. She allegedly picked up a glass “in a fit of rage” and threw it at McGregor, 38, hitting him in the face.

The Melbourne-based actor allegedly suffered a cut lip and went to the neighbouring Surfers Paradise police station to report the incident.

The stripper is scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court next month.

Hollywood owner Craig Duffy has said the stripper was sacked on the spot – and while he was aware of a conversation between the pair prior to the alleged incident, he was “not privy to what was said”.
