Green key for Warriors

STEPHEN Kearney and Craig Bellamy agree Blake Green will make an essential difference to the Warriors when they seek to end their lean NRL run of Anzac Day results against Melbourne.

Halfback Green has missed the past two games with a groin problem, with both ending in narrow Warriors losses.

Coach Kearney lamented his team’s lack of control against Souths and North Queensland, but said the 32year-old would add composure against a Storm side the Warriors have beaten only twice in nine Anzac Day meetings.

“The last couple of weeks we’ve put ourselves in positions (to win) but we just haven’t managed it well enough,” Kearney said.

Bellamy said the Storm had enormous respect for Green.
