Reward offered for missing medals

-

THE family of a Vietnam Veteran is offering a $500 reward for the person who finds his war medals.

Ron Anderson (right) marched at the dawn and morning service in Southport yesterday before visiting the Southport RSL.

He left the RSL and hopped on to a bus organised by the club. When he arrived home, he realised he had lost the medals.

His granddaughter, Bec Arthur, did not know when or where the medals were lost, but asked the public for help.

“We are so upset and just want his medals back,” she posted on Facebook. “We have searched everywhere.

“We have spoken to the RSL as he is well known there and is a part of the club. We have spoken to Southport police.

“The bus drivers have checked their buses.

“If anyone has seen them ... please hand them to the Southport RSL or Southport police.”
