FISHING

OFFSHORE: Mackerel being taken on the 24, 18 and 12 fathom reefs east of the Seaway. Try the 24 and 26 reefs east of Jumpinpin and Tweed Heads for wahoo.

RIVERS: The Tweed has been producing good mangrove jack and whiting. Trevally, whiting and mangrove jack in Nerang River. BROADWATER: Sand crabs moving around after the rain, especially around Russell Island. The Seaway good for trevally, tailor, flathead and jewfish.

FRESHWATER: Hinze dam has been fishing well early in the morning and late afternoon.
