DRAMATIC END TO CAR CHASE
A DRIVER has captured the moment a man was tasered after allegedly crashing a stolen car in Surfers Paradise.
The man allegedly stole the BMW last week and was seen at a service station in Goodna at 8.45pm on Saturday.
He allegedly threatened police with a knife before driving off at high speed, trying to refuel multiple times as well as attempting to steal other vehicles before crashing into another car on Remembrance Dve.
Footage taken by a passing motorist shows the 29-yeard-old man approaching police with his hands raised before being tasered and collapsing. He is then arrested.
He has been charged with multiple offences, including the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of a dangerous drug.
He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
