DRAMATIC END TO CAR CHASE

A DRIVER has captured the moment a man was tasered after allegedly crashing a stolen car in Surfers Paradise.

The man allegedly stole the BMW last week and was seen at a service station in Goodna at 8.45pm on Saturday.

He allegedly threatened police with a knife before driving off at high speed, trying to refuel multiple times as well as attempting to steal other vehicles before crashing into another car on Remembranc­e Dve.

Footage taken by a passing motorist shows the 29-yeard-old man approachin­g police with his hands raised before being tasered and collapsing. He is then arrested.

He has been charged with multiple offences, including the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of a dangerous drug.

He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrate­s Court today.
