LEATHER APPAREL THE LATEST THING FOR TINT OF COOL

-

THE black leather biker jacket has become a winter wardrobe must-have, but women wanting a more contemporary cool look should consider adding some colour to their leather.

Whether it be a single jacket or skirt to add to existing pieces or a coloured leatheron-leather look, popular shades are grey, green, camel, rust and khaki.

Once Was creative director and designer Belinda Glynn says keeping the palette earthy ensures timeless style.

“Burnt sienna, a deep earthy rust colour, has been the bestseller in our classic jacket shape and customers can’t get enough of our forest green leather midi skirt,” she said.

Melbourne-based luxury fashion label Ena Pelly has incorporated a range of colour leather options in its new season collection. Director Danielle Pelly says coloured leather is a great alternative.

“This season we focused on dove grey, camel and rich khaki, layering with washed denim and a basic white tee,” she says.
