It was a perfect setting for a night at the opera for Verdis Requiem on the outdoor stage at HOTA — the centrepiece of this year’s Bleach* Festival

VERDI’S REQUIEM HOTA, Bundall

THE outdoor stage at HOTA by design is a spacious venue that really comes into its own when a BIG production hits the stage. Such was the case when Verdi’s Requiem was performed in front of a huge crowd on Saturday night. This was the centrepiece production for this year’s Bleach* Festival made possible by the extraordinary talents of Opera Queensland and the Queensland Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra. Under the stars on a perfect April night — it doesn’t get much better.
