FULL BODY APPROACH TO TACKLING ILLNESS
MOTHER of two, golden retriever lover and lifestyle consultant Michelle Denny (pictured) believes in approaching chronic illness with an emphasis on a mind, body and spirit connection.
The Ayurveda specialist will deliver a presentation on home remedies from nature at the Chronic Illness Warriors Pamper Day at the Nerang Bicentennial Centre on Monday.
Ayurveda is a system of medicine with historical roots in Indian healing which focuses on teasing out the complexities of illness and offering effective treatments.
The free workshop will be hosted by not-for-profit charity Lotus Living Organically for locals living with a chronic illness. Chronic Illness Warriors will be treated to free makeovers, pampering, life and health coaching, art therapy and support.
The event is open to all chronic illnesses, inclusive of cancer, auto immune diseases, chronic pain and mental health conditions and the carers of those participants.
Pamper day activities include hairstyling, makeup, massage, naturopathy, reiki, yoga, meditation, dietitians, art therapy and more.
