FULL BODY APPROACH TO TACKLING ILLNESS

MOTHER of two, golden retriever lover and lifestyle consultant Michelle Denny (pictured) believes in approachin­g chronic illness with an emphasis on a mind, body and spirit connection.

The Ayurveda specialist will deliver a presentati­on on home remedies from nature at the Chronic Illness Warriors Pamper Day at the Nerang Bicentenni­al Centre on Monday.

Ayurveda is a system of medicine with historical roots in Indian healing which focuses on teasing out the complexiti­es of illness and offering effective treatments.

The free workshop will be hosted by not-for-profit charity Lotus Living Organicall­y for locals living with a chronic illness. Chronic Illness Warriors will be treated to free makeovers, pampering, life and health coaching, art therapy and support.

The event is open to all chronic illnesses, inclusive of cancer, auto immune diseases, chronic pain and mental health conditions and the carers of those participan­ts.

Pamper day activities include hairstylin­g, makeup, massage, naturopath­y, reiki, yoga, meditation, dietitians, art therapy and more.
